저는 나가사키현의 외딴 섬에서 태어나고 자랐습니다.

고등학생 시절, 장기 휴가가 되면 페리를 타고,

후쿠오카 거리로 쇼핑을 가는 것이 가장 큰 즐거움이었습니다.

20년 이상 전, 당시는 빈티지 옷과 스트리트 패션의 전성기였습니다.

거리는 자신만의 스타일을 즐기는 젊은이들로 넘쳐났고, 저도 빠져서 빈티지 숍을 돌아다녔습니다.

그리고 어느 날, 한눈에 반한 것은 칼리지 로고가 들어간 새빨간 캡이었습니다.

그 캡을 쓰면 이상하게 자신감이 솟아났고,

어느 날이든 외출할 때 빼놓을 수 없는 존재가 되었습니다.

돌이켜보면, 그 모자는 단순한 패션 소품이 아니라,

저에게 "Required one" 생활에 빼놓을 수 없는 필수품이었습니다.

그 경험이 제 안에

"언젠가, 나도 누군가에게 필수품이 되는 것을 만들고 싶다"는

강한 마음을 남겼습니다.

그 마음을 형태로 만든 것이 Req Hatter 입니다.

유행에 휩쓸리지 않고 오래 사용할 수 있는 것을.

일상 생활에 자연스럽게 녹아들면서도, 그것을 쓰는 사람의 개성을 돋보이게 하는 것을.

Brand Story

Founded in March 2023, Req Hatter is a hat brand born from my personal journey.

I grew up on a remote island in Nagasaki, Japan.
As a high school student, my greatest joy during long vacations was taking a ferry to Fukuoka to go shopping.

More than 20 years ago, vintage clothing and street fashion were at their peak.
The city was filled with young people enjoying their own unique styles, and I too spent countless hours exploring vintage shops.

One day, I came across a bright red college-logo cap that instantly caught my eye.
Whenever I wore it, I felt a strange boost of confidence, and soon it became something I could never leave the house without.

Looking back, that cap was not just a fashion accessory.
It was my "Required one"—an essential part of my daily life.
That experience left me with a strong desire: "Someday, I want to create something that becomes essential for someone else."

That desire eventually took shape as Req Hatter.

We create hats that are not bound by trends but made to last.
Hats that blend naturally into everyday life while quietly bringing out the individuality of the person who wears them.
